Love with Food is a monthly subscription box that sends gourmet food samples to your doorstep. What I love about this company is that they donate a meal to a hungry child for each box you buy. Love with food costs $10/month plus $2 shipping, so it is a pretty good deal!
This month was also the first month of Love with Food’s new deluxe box. B and I decided that we wanted to check that out too. The Deluxe box is touted to have 16-20 snacks (with some full-size items). It’s only $19.95/month and it ships free. There was a wait list to get the September Deluxe Box, and I think the same is true for October? We had one month left of our regular box subscription, and instead of contacting Love with Food to just upgrade to Deluxe, we thought it would be fun to compare.
Both boxes this month were curated by Chef Ming Tsai, and all of the items are gluten free.
Now, in my mind, the Deluxe box would have all of the same items as the regular box, and then more, different items to get up to 16-20 items. That was not the case. Most of the items are the same in both boxes, and I was disappointed that the Deluxe box had duplicates of items to get up to the promised numbers. The Deluxe box was also supposed to donate two meals to a hungry child, but the information card says only one was donated. Bummer!!
Anyhow, these items were in both boxes:
Blueberry Fruit Bar from Betty Lou’s
Roasted Garlic Hummus from Wild Garden
100% Natural Crunchy Cinnamon Apple Chips from Bare Fruit
Cherry Berry Raw Cookie from Licious Organics
Sipping Broth from Millies Savory Teas
Cinnamon Crunch from Cosmos Creations
Fruit Snacks from YumEarth Organics
These items were only in the regular box:
Cheddar Cheese Organicasaurus from Good Boy Organics
Roasted Red Pepper and Artichoke Bruschetta from Milas Foods
These items were only in the Deluxe Box:
Rice and Bean Chips from Beanfields Snacks
Sesame Crunch Chick Pz from Nutty Bean Co.
We haven’t eaten much of our snacks yet, just one of the Apple Chips (and they were good!) but I did want to get this comparison post up ASAP! I hope it helps people make a decision between the two boxes.
Did you get a Love with Food Box this month? What did you think?

I had the same expectations as you. I absolutely didn’t expect to not get things in the regular box. They should call it the big value box, not the deluxe box!

I feel like they are issues they could easily resolve for their future boxes though 🙂

I agree, but we have a lot of snacks around right now, and we’re going to wdw at the beginning of October. I’ll see how it is next month and decide. But it’s unlikely that I’ll resubscribe until January because of travel etc.
