Category Archives: Goodies Co.

Sadly this is the last month for Goodies Co subscriptions. They announced earlier this month that their service would be ending after this month’s box. Goodies will be missed, as will the cheap $7/month subscription price!

October 2013 Goodies Co

October 2013 Goodies Co

I was so excited as I was opening this box as I didn’t see one item that we wouldn’t use. Way to go out with a bang, Goodies!

Greek Yogurt by Happy Family – S loves pouches, so we were happy to see a pouch included in the box.

Chocolate Sunbutter Bar by Enjoy Life – I took this with me to work the other day, and it was a nice mid-morning snack. I think it could have been a bit more chocolatey though.

Special K Nourish Oatmeal – I am saving this for a cold winter morning or a morning when I am in more of a rush to get out the door.

Very Beary Crunch by Lunchables – We are planning on taking this with us next time we go visit B’s parents. S always wants a snack at some point during our road trip, and this will offer a nice variety: cheesy crackers, teddy grams, and dried fruit.

Original Praline Chocolate by Guylian – These look delicious! I cannot wait to share them with B soon!

Easy Make Focaccia Bread mix – This also looks delicious. I plan to make it next time we have Italian food for dinner.

Spiced Tea Latte by Caffe D’Vita – I am saving this for when B is out of town and I don’t have any coffee. Sure, I could make coffee, but it seems like a waste to use the coffee pot just for myself. This will be perfect.

Choco Pie Fluffy Biscuit – This has B’s name written all over it. I imagine he’ll take it with him on his next business trip.

September Goodies Co Box #5

My September box arrived on October 3rd. I had received an email that there was a computer glitch and my box was not sent out on time. I was going to receive Taster’s Bos #2, but when all was said and done, I received box #5. That was a shame too, because I think box 2 had black licorice in it and this box had olives instead. B loves black licorice so he was very upset when he found out we didn’t have any in our box.

Numi Savory Tea

Zone Perfect Greek Yogurt Chocolate Bar

Bare Fruit Crunchy Fuji Red Apple Chips

Mario Pitted Snack Olives

Nestle Pure Life Flavored Water

Kashi Sun-dried Tomato, Basil and Feta Hummus Crisps

Honey

I wasn’t overly enthused about any of these items. B will drink the tea, S will eat the olives and apple chips, I’ll drink the water and eat the Zone Perfect bar. Not sure about the hummus crisps, and the honey sample will get used eventually. I’m not too upset about the mediocre box though, as I used my Goodies points (from writing reviews) to receive this box for free.

Tasters Box #3 contents

I didn’t take individual photos of each item this month. I feel like you can probably see most of the details from this picture though.

Hershey’s Chocolate Chunk Cookie Mix by General Mills – B was really excited about this. We will make these for sure, but probably not until the weather cools off a little.
Sea Salt & Butter Poplets by Rocky Mountain Popcorn – I must say I was not a fan of these. I thought I would be, but they are pretty much just kernels of popcorn that are hard and crunchy. I usually try to avoid pieces like these when we make popcorn…
Nature Valley Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola Thins by General Mills – I used to take these to work with me as a snack. I remember liking them, so I am glad to get more.
Fiber One Chocolate Fudge Brownie by General Mills – I’m not sure how I feel about these, but I haven’t tried it yet either. I’ll probably break into them when I have a chocolate craving and we don’t have any Oreos.

Southern Pecan Pronto Instant Coffee Drink by Barnie’s – I will totally make this some day when B is out of town for work. I’m not good at making coffee, so I am always looking for substitutes when he is on the road.

Tangy Zangy by Morris National, Inc. – These have B’s name all over them. He loves sour candies.
Mott’s Medleys Assorted Fruit Snacks by General Mills – I have been wanting to try these for a while, but I never really felt like buying a whole box, you know? So I am glad to be able to try them without having to commit to a whole box of them.

All in all I thought it was a nice box this month. It was a nice mix of items, and we will use most/all of them!

July 2013 Tasters Box #2

Goodies Co. is a monthly subscription box service that sends 5-8 sample sized food products right to your door for $7/month. Each month the boxes vary slightly in terms of which flavors you get. I am not sure how many different boxes went out this month, but I received Tasters Box #2.

First look

The little card explains that they used a smaller box this month because they sent smaller things. I am also pretty sure that last month’s box was not green, but I like the green. I hope it is here to stay!

Second look

Second look

The box was neatly packed. I liked how there was a divider so the drink didn’t roll around and crush the other snacks.

IMG_3892

Black Raspberry Fruit Water by Coca Cola

This was a little too fizzy for my tastes. Or perhaps not fizzy enough. I liked the taste of it, but it either should have had less carbonation to be more like water, or more carbonation to be more like pop. This was in between and it confused me.

IMG_3897

Caramel by Cosmo Creations

These are great! They remind me of Corn Pops cereal, only they are caramel flavored. If I saw these at the store, I’d pick them up for sure!

IMG_3899

Multi-Seed Crackers – Original by Crunchmaster

I haven’t tried these yet, and I think I will save them for when we have some cheese to go with.

IMG_3900

Fresh Corn and Sea Salt Chips by Sugar Foods

I liked these a lot! It was a nice alternative to a tortilla chip, and it had a nice crunch.

IMG_3901

Cherry Lovers by Gimbal’s

These are delicious! They are just like jelly beans, but they are all some kind of cherry flavor (Wild Cherry, Chocolate Cherry, etc). They are a great texture too: not too chewy.

Overall, I’d say it was a good box this month. We liked almost everything inside, and it was a nice treat. It would have been nice to get 1-2 more items though, especially since the last two boxes were pretty stuffed!

June Goodies Co. Tasters Box #3

Goodies Co. is a monthly subscription box service that sends 5-8 sample sized food products right to your door for $7/month. The box ships via FedEx Smartpost and it took a week to get to my door (NY) from Alabama. I am not sure how many different boxes went out this month, but I received Tasters Box #3.

First Look

First Look

I just realized that I forgot to do a second look! Oops! Well, on to the contents I suppose…

IMG_3782

Lays Stax

Lays Stax chips – Adobadas. I honestly have no idea what flavor this is, since everything is written in Spanish. There is a picture of a tomato and a chile pepper though, so I knew it would be ‘hot’. They are kind of thicker than a Pringles chip, and it is nice that it has such a strong flavor because that kind of prevents you from eating too many in one sitting, you know?

IMG_3778

Pringles Stix

Pringles Stix – Cheese. I know what flavor these are! They really do have a strong cheesy flavor. It was a bit strong for me, but S loved them. I had to put the package away because he kept asking for more. Out of sight, out of mind! (He only had three, relax)

IMG_3776_2

Smooch pouch

Smooch Snacks – Mango, Pineapple, Banana, Chia & Acerola. S was right with me when I was opening the box up and taking pictures. He tried his hardest to get this right away, even though he had just finished a big lunch! The kid likes pouches, and I am sure he will love this one.

IMG_3779

gimMe Roasted Seaweed Snacks

Gimme Health – Honey Dijon Seaweed snacks. I haven’t tried these yet, and I am kind of scared to! We didn’t like the seaweed we got in the Love With Food box this month, but those weren’t flavored like these are.

IMG_3783

Dream Water

Dream Water – NightTEA Night. This is all B’s, as nursing mothers can’t drink these products, but he is going to take it with him on his next business trip. Sometimes he has trouble sleeping on the road, so hopefully this will help him out!

IMG_3777_2

Shortbread Cookies

Duchy Originals – Highland Shortbread. It is taking all of my willpower to not open these up until B gets home from work. I love shortbread, and I am certain these will be delicious!

I was impressed this month. Only $7 to try new products, several of which are full sized? Great deal!

Goodies Co. is a monthly subscription box service that sends 5-8 sample sized food products right to your door for $7/month. This is my first month receiving a Goodies Co. box so I was excited to see what would be inside! I believe that there were at least seven different Tasters Boxes this month. I received Tasters Box #2.

May 2013 Tasters Box 2

The teaser on their website says that May’s box is “Sweet and sour. Smoky and spicy. Fresh and refreshing. We’ve got all the bases covered when it comes to flavor this month.” I do believe they are correct!

zico Zico Coconut Water B and I have never tried coconut water, but his parents have been talking about it since they got back from their trip to Florida this year. I’m excited to try it to see what all the hype is about. This bottle contains four servings, so there is plenty for B and I to share

IMG_3414Dorval Sour Power Straws – Of everything in the box, these are the items I am the least enthused about. We got the blue raspberry and pink lemonade flavors. If I was 12 years old, I’d be all over these, but they are not really my taste anymore. Maybe B will like them?

IMG_3415 Kathie’s Kitchen Super Seedz Sea Salt Gourmet Shelled Pumpkin Seeds – Yes! I love pumpkin seeds and I love salty things! This is sure to be great! I can’t wait to try them!

IMG_3417 Bronco Bob’s Roasted Mango Chipotle Sauce – I am sure B will like this. Or we may try serving it at our next get-together with cream cheese or warm Brie like the label recommends. Sounds good to me!

IMG_3418 Beanitos Chipotle BBQ Black Bean Chips – I am excited to try these with B. I know he will like them. I have never had anything that was Chipotle BBQ flavored before, but I like how they are black bean chips. I like black beans, so hopefully I will like these!

IMG_3419 Numi Organic Tea – We got a Moroccan Mint flavor, and it came with a $1 off coupon. I have been being careful about drinking herbal teas while I am still nursing S, but I know B will be all over this. He loves his tea!

IMG_3420 Wholly Guacamole coupon and chip clip – I was most excited about this item, and that was when I thought it was just a chip clip and an advertisement! We need a new chip clip since one of ours just broke! But then I saw that it is a coupon for a free item, and I was even more excited! All three of us, even S, love guacamole! I have never tried this brand, but I have been tempted to buy each time I see it at the grocery store. This will be used and enjoyed for sure!

IMG_3421 California Olive Ranch Extra Virgin Olive Oil samples – We will use these up for sure! We use olive oil for a lot of our cooking so it is sure to come in handy.

I started to try to find prices to get a value on this box, but with sample sizes it was just too hard! I know the Wholly Guacamole coupon is worth up to $6.50 by itself, so I’d say this box was definitely worth $7! We’ll be trying almost everything and I am sure we will like what we taste! I’m already looking forward to June’s box!
