Lighthouse at the Waterfront

Lighthouse at the Waterfront

Saturday it was a beautiful day so we went down to the waterfront to see the Lois McClure schooner that B really likes. It sails out of Vermont and goes through the canals and whatnot and along the Great Lakes. We had seen it before about three years ago, and B was excited to take S to see it. Unfortunately S was not too thrilled with the boat moving with the waves, so he wasn’t too excited to be on the boat, but he did enjoy looking at all of the boats.

We made up for it by taking him down to the huge public sandbox at the waterfront where he enjoyed digging in the sand and playing with sand toys. It made us really want to get him a sandbox for home. Anyone know of any good ones that are large enough to move around in that can also be covered when not in use? Bonus points for not being super expensive.

In the evening we played outside while B cooked dinner on the grill.

Sunday I did a boatload of errands during S’s nap, and we spent the afternoon playing outside.

The three of us went to Chili’s for dinner to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary, and then got some delicious gelato for dessert at a local food festival.

Hope you had a great weekend too!

In other news, this was my 100th post!
