Saturday B and I did a lot of work around the house while S had his nap. We finally got a lot of stuff cleared out of the garage and set up a little sitting area for taking shoes on and off before coming in the house. I have been wanting to do that for forever, and now that we finally have it done I love it! Our garage looks so much nicer, and we finally brought in a bunch of stuff that had been just piled there from when we moved into the house almost a year ago. And it was so great to set S on a chair to put his shoes on and even better to be able to peel his soaking wet clothes off of him after playtime without having to traipse through the house with a squirmy, drenched toddler.

We did a few errands and enjoyed playing inside and out. We set up S’s new sprinkler and he had a blast running through it.

Sunday we (mostly B) did more things around the house during S’s naps and we also hit up the Farmer’s Market. We got there about 40 minutes before they closed and we got some great deals! That is the time to go if you don’t specifically need anything. (We only needed one cucumber, and ended up with a bunch of great food!)

In the evening we had our friends over for dinner. Their son is 11 months older than S, and they had never had the chance to play just one on one with each other. Actually, I think S had never played one on one with another kid, so when you take that into consideration, he did remarkably well sharing his toys and playing nice. We only had a few toddler misunderstandings, and by the end of the night they were playing together, running around laughing, and having a great time with each other. We hope to do it again soon!
