June 2013 Citrus Lane Box

S received the 19 month old boy box this month. Here is what was inside:

infant sun hat with neck flap

Sun Protection Hat from iPlay ($12.99) – I really like the print on this hat! It hat has a flap on the back to protect little ones’ necks, so that certainly is a nice feature in addition to the fact that the whole hat has SPF 50 protection! We got the 6-18 month size, which unfortunately does not fit on S’s head. S is something like in the 95th percentile in terms of head size, so he always needs a much larger hat than one would think.

Sand mold

Sand toy from Haba ($4.77) – This is a really higher quality toy than I had thought at first. The plastic is much thicker and sturdier than dollar store sand toys, and this one says it has a two year guarantee. Now we just need the sandbox, ha ha! And I know this is supposed to be an apple tree, but I just keep thinking of it as broccoli. It is just me?

Sunscreen sample

Sunny Sunscreen from Episencial ($5.62) – This is a special 1.5 fluid ounce sample size made just for Citrus Lane. I have heard good things about Episencial products but I have never used any of their products. I am excited to try it out next time we are out in the sun!

Blueberry, apple and purple carrot tot pouch

Happy Tot Plus from Happy Family ($1.79) – S wanted to eat this right away once he saw it. I like how it has fruit and vegetables in it. I personally think all pouches should have both, as vegetables are always harder to get S to eat than fruit!

I came out with an approximate value of $25.17 (not including shipping) for this box using prices. Certainly not the best in terms of the dollar amount, but everything in the box is a quality product. You also can’t put a price on the look on your child’s face when they see the Citrus Lane box waiting for them! S gets so excited each month, and he sure does know it is for him!
