I love when this happens:

It is naptime. I ask S if he wants to take a nap. He enthusiastically shakes his head ‘no’. I say we should take a nap anyway and I pick him up. He continues shaking his head no. We enter his bedroom. He begins to whine/fake cry. I set him in his crib, turn on his soother and tell him to have a good nap. He continues to fake cry as I walk out of the room and close the door. I walk up the hallway. He quiets down and falls asleep within seconds. I smugly think ‘Told you so!’
